  • Scott Peterson, PT, ATC

  • Scott began his education at Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho where he attended one year before leaving college to serve a 2 year mission for his church. He returned to Ricks College and earned an Associates degree in Health Sciences. He then transferred to the University of Utah in Salt Lake City and continued his studies in sports medicine and athletic training until being accepted into the physical therapy program. He graduated in 1987 with honors earning a Bachelors of Science degree in Physical Therapy.

    Following graduation, Scott accepted a position in a large hospital in Las Vegas, but quickly learned that his real interest was in outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine. In 1988, he moved his family to Medford, Oregon where he was involved in a private practice for over 10 years. During that time Scott developed his skills and specialty in orthopedic rehabilitation. Not only was he busy in the clinic, but he gave volunteer time to the local high schools and was part of the athletic training program at Southern Oregon State University. This experience allowed him to sit for the certification exam of the National Athletic Trainer's Association and in June 1996, he gained his certification as an Athletic Trainer.

    In September 1998, Scott took a position in Phoenix and moved his family to the Valley of the Sun, He worked for a national rehabilitation company for several years before starting Northwest Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy in June 2002. As owner and director of the clinic, he has treated the spectrum of orthopedic conditions but has a special interest in shoulder, knee and total joint rehabilitation.

    Scott continues to give his time to the community and volunteers with the sports medicine staff at Dysart and Willow Canyon High Schools. He attends several continuing education seminars per year in an effort to remain current with the fast changing world of rehabilitation. Professionally he is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APT A), the Sports Physical Therapy Section of the APTA, the Arizona Physical Therapy Association, the National Athletic Trainer's Association, and the Arizona Athletic Trainer's Association. He is also a member of the Northwest Valley Chamber of Commerce where he has given his time to serve on committees.

    In his spare time, Scott enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, He is active in his Church and enjoys activities such as fishing, golf, and hiking.

  • Shari Allen Neiberg, PT, MS, Cert. MDT

    In May of 1998, Shari graduated with clinical honors from Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania. With her Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy, she accepted a position in orthopedics with NovaCare in Atco, New Jersey. During her three years with NovaCare she developed an interest in treating patients with mechanical spine disorders and began her specialty training in the McKenzie Method.

    In May of 2001, Shari left "NovaCare and took a position at HealthSouth Sports Medicine in Mt. Holly, New Jersey. After only six months, she and her husband moved across country to reside in Arizona. In February 2002, Shari returned to HealthSouth, in Scottsdale and Paradise Valley. There, she continued her specialization training and practice in general orthopedics. In October 2002, she successfu11y completed the course work and passed a comprehensive examination to become McKenzie Certified. Shari, one of six McKenzie Certified Practitioners in the State of Arizona, and one of three here in the valley, is now employed with Northwest Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy.

    Shari is married and has a three year old daughter. During her spare time, she enjoys running, lifting weights and activities with her family.
